Mine's at the marina now. They're using the weather to their advantage plowing through the boats winterizing them first. Will shrink wrap after that. IF I was just doing winterization, I'd have it back next week. With the added shrink wrap, I'm 1-2 weeks out on bringing it home for its winter snooze.

I generally try to wait until the leaves are colorful, take a cruise around the lake then put the old girl to bed. :)
Well the leaves didn't get as colorful around here this year. So I'm just finishing up with my winterization, cooling system is draining and batteries are being topped up. Tomorrow a wash down and vinyl care. The hull will be cleaned in the spring. :)

Threw in the towel today, gave up on any chance of some decent days left this season and put the boat to bed for its winter sleep. I know it is gonna be a long winter as it always is ! With the lack of snow the past few years, there has been no playing during the winter either, so gotta figure out how to keep being to bored over this winter !!

Small aluminum tiller with an outboard? Practice casting into a Solo cup? Streams around me never really froze solid enough to venture out on. I think the St. Lawrence was open much of last year.

I'd say take up snow shoeing but around here, there really wasn't much snow last season. Think I used the snowblower about 3x. Went through 1 tank of gas on it.

My F/W is winterized, the outdrive is off and in the garage, but I still have my 2 Walker bay dinghies on the beach (they stay there all the time) and my little Suzuki DF2.5 is ready to go!walker bay fleet.jpg

Got my two snow blowers ready at the season start the last two years....never used them, ended up draining out the unused fuel. Have a nice side x side with a cab and heater, lots of fun plowing snow, haven't used it in three winters !! No ice for fishing and no snow to play in these past two years, not looking promising for this years long range forecast. It might be time to consider moving......

I haven't used our snow blower in 3-4 years. This is why I started draining the tank and carb bowl, and I do that on all my power equipment that has a bowl type carb. Less problems that way.

Had one for years, great fun, but also had people to kayak with...they are gone now, at age 74, probably not smart going alone so I sold it a few years back.

Had 1 last boat task I forgot to pull the battery on the boat in the storage garage, all that space under the bow cover and they had to have the battery, recessed and snug into a side.

Engineering plan.
For a credit car captain that adds another $30 bucks worth of time to the shop bill. 😂

I fogged and winterized last night. Long range is cold enough I'm done for now. I'll pull the engine and look for my leak so it'll float once more probably.

Already thinking of next season. Bought a new Garmin fishfinder/plotter to replace my 10 year old one, also will upgrade the sound system and install a new remote control.
