We have officially found the one who wants her. I wondered where it was hiding . . .

Is there an emoticon with a guy holding his nose? :holdingnose:

Joe Lieberman? Now there is a lib I might vote for, just as McCain is a conservative I think many libs might vote for.

Ya, ya, I know many complain that Joe is not a true lib and John is not a true conservative.

That's my point. I don't think "true" libs and "true" conservatives are equipped to unite us. . .only to continue the terrible, bitter, nasty, name calling split in our country. They both seem more interested in subjugating "the opposition" than getting on with the business of our nation.

I think enough voters would agree with me that compromise beats conflict any day.

IMHO conflict and polarization result in compromise. Nothing happens, that's a compromise. Considering what laws these knuckleheads do come up with I'd prefer they leave it all alone . . .

It is a bit funny that boomy completely ignores the upcoming elections.Maybe the smell of possible defeat is in his nostrils, thus in good extremist tradition,he chooses to ignore the oncoming new reality and already talks about the next battle which will surely be won by his side.Enough of that.
McCaine would have been my choice because he seemed very honest, but he sold out to the religious right and lost his credibility along the way.
Hillary? Yes,she has been very good for New york State.Indeed she has been a moderating force and by now she is, albeit grudgingly, admired and appreciated by the upstate republicans, because of her performance.
It would be very nice to have a sparkling intelligent person for president.I suspect that the almost 50 million Americans who cannot afford health insurance are dying to see her declare her candidacy.
With Hillary as president we might even mend some fences with the rest of the world.
Remember why Newt left the polical scene? His zipper tended to come loose in the wrong situations. He'll never be president.
Lieberman? He is too good for this world.
The truth is that we need a potentially ruthless s.o.b. to deal with all the other s.o.b.s out there.
So if you can find a very intelligent practical thinker who is not owned by big oil and who is capable of making practical policy without creating wars, please call me and I will vote for him/her!

The 2008 Presidential ticket will be John McCain vs a very reluctant Hillary Clinton. She will get her socialism uncerimoniously rammed where the lite never shines.

There are no other potential Democratic candidates. Come election time Hillary's numbers will be in the dirt but out of desperation the PARTY will be forced to run her.

The Republicans are not in much better shape as far as potential candidates are concerned. Howerver, as much as I disdain John McCain, he will mop the floor with Hillary. That will be the last we will hear from her. She will sulk off into bubba land and lick her wounds.

The stake will finally have been driven.8)

This scenario, of course, discounts the possibliity of any dark horses from either party but at this point, IMNSHO, that is not likely.

Sounds like Boomyal's wet dream. My only hope is that both parties will bring a good solid candidate to the ballot, unlike king george and more recently, (S)Kerry.

Unfortunately the redumblican party will probably trot out another pathetic idiot like their last one. Another corporate-welfare case worker. And I don't hold out any hope for the dems at this point either. May God help the American citizen.

Sometimes I worry that Boomalicious and Rush are the same person. The likeness is downright erie.

I think it would be hilarious if Hillary ended up as president. Ol' Willie could get back to the business of workin' the ugly chicks. I will just patiently wait and see what will be presented for our voting pleasure. It isn't hard to figure out what the righty platform will be: Keep 'em scared through Terror! Vote for me or terrorists will kill you in your kitchen! The dems should be able to walk away with this one, unless they ravage the nether region of the pooch like they did with Kerry, who started out okay until he tried to play the God card and be a watered down Bush-a-like. I actually just tasted vomit thinking about that. Neither one of them distinquished themselves with the Swiftboat this and National Guard that.

I just hope we have a decent batch to choose from, regardless of party....
