It's been easy for accountability-avoiding politicians to treat the administration as a leper colony on Iraq. How ironic that Bush has been accused of politicizing the war when he has been the one politician who has remained steadfast in attempting to do the right thing regardless of how it would affect his approval ratings in the moment. For this I believe he deserves enormous credit and gratitude, as counterintuitive as that may strike those who demand perfection and immediate results.

Just because this is Rush's younger brother, don't sell him short... I can link the testimony.

Re: The Democrats were lying pre-election...

thats the problem, they all seem to lie.
the other problem is they get paid well to do it.
I wish we could term limit senate and congress to a max of 2 terms in a lifetime and no retirement.

If my Greek history is up to it, I believe that the "People's Representatives" were actually selected at random and served one term. It was like a lottery. The senate was actually elected which is where the elite status of a senate member comes from.

I like the idea of having a lottery for seats in the house. A four year term with half of the house replaced every two years. It is intended to be public service not public employment.

I always have said term limits on both houses.
The President can run just so many times, what's good for the gander is good for the geese.

Yeah, but term limits limit my freedom too . . . That is where I get hung up. I think I like the lotto for the House and business as usual for the Senate idea. Seems like a decent compromise.

Every election, my Inverse Bullschidt Theory proves itslef! At the start of campaigning 80% is truthful and 20% is BS. This inverses over the months until it's 20% truthful and 80% BS with the truthful part so skewed that it isn't even true anymore. This applies to ALL political parties.
