That's the kind of ingenuity I used to see on the farms I worked growing up.
Great job!

Thats a great idea, I just have to find the parts to do it to my atv now! I like how they are strong enough to lift the mower off the ground too, gives you more leverage with the blade!

Yea it really does, the first use was on the drive that had not been cleaned since we got that big storm that dumped 2ft on cleveland, chicago and stranded all theose folks in indiana and Canada. So it was really packed down good and it cleaned it streight to the concrete no prob.

I wanted to use break line instead of a hose but I couldnt find any fitting that were even close to the thread size of the cylinders and pump. the brass i found isnt the right size eather but it snuggs up nice and every home depot and lowes has it, its just compression fittings from the plumbing section. I think the thread in the cylinder is a metric corse thread cause no standerd corse thread fits and when it comes to break line corse metric dosnt seem to be used a hole lot. i will have to make it into Toledo and check out some boiler and hydrolic shops.

Do you need both cylinders to operate the vertical direction of the blade? can you use one on the vertical control of the blade and the other on the horizontal controls of the blade? Since you have two pumps?

I only got one pump so i would need to change the control of the action to incude a simple vale system. It could be done with a few valves that would allow me to isolate the flow of fluid from one cylinder to the other, then just use the electric on-off-on swith to control the direction of the fluid flow. Or if i had a constant flow pump i could just use a manifold of valves to do it, maybe some kind of power stearing pump.

I am prob going to mess with it more this up coming weekend and figure something out. I will probly be tinkering with it all winter to perfect it.:D

Its not a huge deal for me as of now though. I live out in the sticks and push the snow out of my drive across the street and into the dranage ditch to keep my yard from having melting piles of snow come spring. That what I did last few years and works out well but i was doing it by shovel!
