Sorry Gary, you couldnt be more wrong, Todays fuel just doesnt burn clean, and the very idea that you are burning an oil along with it does cause carbon deposits in your engine. You especially do not want the carbon to build up around the top rig, (or anywhere else for that matter), It can cause cylinder scoring eventually due to not allowing the ring to compress in the cylider. If you have never decarbed, you would be surprised at what will come out of your engine if you do, and you should.Originally posted by GARY B:
Just run clean gas and oil, products such as sea foam may do more harm than good. (IF IT AINT BROKE LEAVE IT ALONE !)
Well, wrong again except for the taking the carbs apart part, the only way to adaquatly clean carbs is to disasemble them, but we are not cleaning carbs here, we are desolving carbon. Seafoam is in itself a lubricant and that is one reason that it is recomended by this forum as ok to use.

Dang Gary, your batting 1,000 here.Originally posted by GARY B:
By sparying decard in your cylinders your taking away that special light protective lube inside the piston walls and in return you will cause more piston and cylinder scoring !I would not ADD additives to a two strokes engine , your much better off doing it the old fasion way, (TAKING THE CARBS APART AND CLEANING THEM BY HAND! SAME GOES FOR THE PISTONS AND OTHER PARTS)
