that is so funny I was thinking just last night, all my life folks have called me a redneck...........for many years it fit. now days my trucks are new, money in the bank, fancy toys and shiny guns. I said I must have made it to high tech red neck status.....not sure I'll ever get to "rollin in a rolls redneck status"

Buy it as a Investment borrow at low interest in her name so she will have good credit ,store right ,drive once in a blue moon , pay off ,then borrow against value as retirement scheme ,let them have back , and buy bigger/better boat as their more bang for buck haha .

You'll never forgive yourself if you don't make an all out effort to convince her, Bubba. This is one of those 'stuff dreams are made of' machines that's practically being thrown at you. If the finances can handle it you gotta try. What's the worst that can happen? If it isn't what you thought it'd be, you resell it.

My wife has surprised me a couple of times (over 32 years) by going along with some harebrained scheme of mine, simply because she could tell how much I wanted to do it.

I see pictures of that car, and in my mind all I can think about is Robin Leach's nasally voice talking about some loaded clown who's got more money than sense.

I'm in agreement that this one's gunna be a tough sell to the Misses...
Don't think it will be as simple as; "Hey honey, you always wanted a 19 year old Rolls Royce, right?"

Also keep in mind despite the car's Pedigree, it's still a British car...
You may need to keep a few spares of these in the trunk (boot) just in case you have a smoke leak from a wiring harness;

Other than that, if you can convince the wife, and keep the smoke in, might be a cool car to have.
Plus if you have another run-in with a Deer while driving this one, that Deer will know he's been hit by the best!

I tried that once. I found out quickly that my wife is way smarter than I ever imagined. And she told me that if I ever come home with bill of sale paperwork again (without her input), she'd have another paper for me to sign.

Couldn't you just tell her how much money you saved first, then show her the bill of sale. Seems to work for them from the mall...

i dont have to worry bout spending money the way my wife goes thru the stuff if i buy something and she gives me a hard time i just pull up the cc statement and bank accounts and show her how much she spends i looked at this months statements
3000$ she spent on stuff
and me 150 and that was the install of the gps/fishfinder
