Re: Thanks NASA

I think even Andrew Carnegie's best material may have some issues after thirty years of saltwater service. Gonna find out soon!
I've often been surprised at how much of a beating those hulls honestly take. Of course, I'm often surprised that some of 'em float at all ... man, are they big!

All I'm going to say is that's an interesting stance on who to thank but whatever floats your boat, or ship in this case. ;-)

Good luck with your endeavor.
Not to hit either side of the "thanks for the mandatory taxes debate," but I will chime in that I've only had limited experience with the USMMA in the last few year, and will say that they are as honorable and solid a group as any other of our services (Army, Navy, Air Force & Marines). One of a few unsung agencies out there that probably need a little more horn tootin'.

Keep the "Merchies" floatin' for us Angus.

i carnt help but to look at that boat and think of the bearing sea gold program. dig the pay dirt with the shovel on the back and mount a wash plant then we could all get rich. do you keep the spare keys under the dash....

Most of my students were born in 1992-3. I feel ancient next to them.

Not sure we'll reach Trump status with what we unearth in the East River, but certain we'll find some interesting trinkets!

Will do Angus. Many of our cadets (I'm with CAP) are looking to go to one of the academies when they graduate. I almost constantly forget about the USMMA when suggesting options to them. Most of 'em are trying real hard for the Air Force Academy, but only a few will make that particular cut.

In about 2 years we'll have about 4 academy bound cadets ready to graduate. I'll definitely keep you in mind.

Re: Thanks NASA

southkogs - I have twin nieces that graduated from USMMA years ago and I have nothing but great things to say. I would STRONGLY encourage student exploration. One of my nieces went USMC and the other went USN. They are both out now and raising families but wow...... a great place to start!
