Temperature guage sender for evinrude 60hp

I am trying to find out the thread size or locate a temperature sender and guage for my outboard.

On the top of the water jacket just up a touch and to the right of the top spark plus is a threded hole
that can take a temp sender.
This type of sender is meant for a guage i believe.
I cannot find any info on the thread size of the sender unit, or any info on them being for sale by BRP.
Ive seen a lot of temp senders and guages advertised on sites in the usa, but 99% of them either do
not post to uk, or the price of postage is so high its unbelievable.

if anyone knows he size and type of thread please let me know, or where i can get a sender and
guage kit to go in the original threaded hole.

All of the aftermarket head temp kits I've looked at include a sender and a bracket that mounts under a head bolt. The sender is held tightly against the head, which ought to work just fine.

Yes ive seen the bolt on type
but would of prefered the screw in one if possible.

but maybe i will have to go bolt on ???

i go buy the socket that fits on the hex head like 5\8 socket will 3\8bsw thread , 1\2inch socket, 5\16 thread , 7\16 socket 1\4 inch thread , you can convert all this to metric if you need to , the japanese use metric system , & metric threads

i would say its a 3\8ths thread bsw or unc thread one of the 2 to be on the safe side measure it with a thread gauge as instruments come out with a finer pitched thread .
