Tee Nee trailer vin # location

I bought a 1972 Tee Nee boat trailer, tandom axles<br />24ft long from Ohio.Now i have to get it reg. in <br />PA. CAN anyone tell me where the vin # is located<br />on the trailer or do i have to call the DMV and<br />get one a vin # PLEASE HELP

It's been a long time since that trailer was made. Best bet is that it never had the VIN stamped into it. It probably had a sticker only, which is long gone.<br /><br />Two choices.<br /><br />1. Any previous registrations?<br /><br />2. Declare it as homemade.

I have a Tee Nee trailer and my vin is on a sticker below the winch. DJ is probabaly right, if the sticker is gone I don't know of any other place it would be. I restored my a couple years ago and did not see one anywhere else. Looks like I should stamp mine just in case my sticker comes off.

Thanks for the info; now how many no# are in the vin no# I called my DMV and they dont know eather any help would be helpful

dlheinz, my trailer is a 1978 and has 7 numbers, no letters.

Hello All, I wanted to follow up on this post because I have a 16' Escort trailer and cannot find my VIN. I do, however have the old sticker, it is painted over though. Any idea how many digits I am looking for? numbers, letters, etc? Thanks.

cars starting in 1980 went to 17 digit VINs. My 1997 Shorelander has 17 also. Not sure when trailers started with 17 digits, though.

17 digit VIN is a combination of letters and numbers. The letters, I, O, Q, and U are not used. Anything that looks like a circle is the number zero.<br />First number (or letter) is the country of manufacture. 10 digit is the model year. If you find a 17 digit VIN, I can easily tell you what country it was made in (I am guessing U.S.) and what year it is.

1996 model trailer (T is the 10th digit)<br />Built in the United States<br />Probably the 72nd trailer the company built that year.
