I've read the posts on engines stalling when shifting and have read about replacing bulb, rebuilding pumps and carbs. Whats the reason(s) for the stall. My motor runs fine at higher speeds. Thanks Bill Mc

could be dirty idle jet..there is a similar post in here..i would suggest cleaning the carbs using the sea form deep creep...i was having the same problem with my 91 force 120 . sprayed the stuff into the carbs( while engine running ) until it quit running, let it sit for about 2 hours; then started it up again and ran it for a while.. ( plan of replacing or cleaning your plugs ) seemed to do the trick..will be smoker then all heck and will stink the same but ran like it did many years ago. will now be part of my annual maint. routine...good luck
