With my ac pump I can pull down almost to 30 inches of vacuum in probably 2 minutes on a 30 lb freon tank. <br /><br />Last year when I had the oil sucked out it was cold oil and it didn't tank long at all. I know warm is better.<br /><br />Thanks again.

My 4.3 does have a dipstick that goes to the bottom of the pan. I bought the vacuum pump from JC Whitney. Its a hand pump that evacuates a tank with a shutoff on the suction side. I just build a vacuum in the tank, insert the small plastic hose in the dipstick tube and open the shutoff.
