taking the lower unil off need help..

ive got 5 bolts already loose 2 underneathe 2 on the sides and 1 towards the front of the outdrive however i cant see the rear bolt anywhere is it hidden, or in the little hole at the back of the outdrive? obviously im new to the boating thing just trying to freshen everything up... thanks in advance

its a 1976 120 mercruiser

On my Alpha 1 there is 1 that is under the anode -fin. Remove that thru the top hole in the rear and then remove the hex head bolt thru the bottem where the anode fin was... I think........

Sounds like mine...remove the fin and there is a hex bolt up inside...remove that and you should be good to go..
