I just bought a Coach 243 FLC tritoon and man what a great boat! What it means is that I now have a spare pontoon boat and a place in FL to leave it. It's a bay area and a small boat so I wont have it on the open water. What all considerations do I need to think of before/during it's saltwater life? I'm a lake boat kinda guy so this "salt life" is all new to me.

Just run it in the lake to flush the engine. If your trailer is painted make sure to flush it throughly. I’m in 100% salt water. We are used to it.

Need to keep an eye on your hardware and wiring.....

A lot of attention is taken to spec "salt resistant" hardware (316 stainless) and wiring fixtures (tinned) on boats meant for coastal use.
Not so much on "lake" boats.....
