Ok, I wasn't even sure where to put this thread, so.....let's just get to it, shall we.
First of all, take a look at these two pictures please;
Now, let's 1st establish that I know I can pull it out and do what I need to do, but mainly, it's raining right now and I'm bored. What I need to be able to do is pull that prop off for a couple of reasons. The boat, as you can see is on the lift and what you can't see (well, you know what I mean) is that this is on a main channel to the Gulf of Mexico. What that means, of course, is that tide in the pic is at the apex and will drop (or is dropping as I type) to about 4' or so below where it is now. Not sure why I thought that was info to share, but I did.
So anyway, has anyone got an idea, not too "cray, cray", for me to be able to manuever back there? :facepalm: Notice there's not a "walkaround" to get to the starboard side, it's "get in the boat/get out of the boat". I'm not so sure who engineered this set-up. I can only imagine that the PO of the house was one to never do his/her own maintenance. It's even a booger to wash this thing after it's time to put up.
I know I can float it and back it stern 1st to the dock, but again, I'm just searching for ideas of maybe someone that's dealt with this and came up with a "neat trick" so-to-speak. I mean, this IS the place for cool "back yard, shade tree engineering" and we all know that.
Thanks in advance and if the rain would finally go away when I'm home (why does it only rain after I get OFF work?), I'll try not to clutter the forum with more hair-brained plans....or least the search for one
