Have a 2008 Q5I with a TKS Mercruiser 190 hp. All standard equipment as when bought. Damaged stock aluminum prop on the ramp teaching wife to load and unload boat. Prop is 14 x 23 stamped. Rated RPM is 4400-4800. Generally cruising is what it is mainly used for. Looking to replace prop with stainless. What is the general consensus when moving to stainless from aluminum from that stock prop size? Don't want to over complicate a replacement. Drop down a little in pitch to compensate for weight/aluminum flex or stay with same as original? Thanks in advance.

Re: Tahoe Q5I

I've posted this same question a while back. I also have a q5I with the same motor and probably the same out drive. I ended up with a stainless Mercury Vengeance 14" 21P. It works great runs at about 4600 rpm. I don't have a GPS but the spedo was about 52 mph. All seems fine for me the hole shot is improved but people I talk to say that 52 on the speedo is probably 46 by GPS. I hope this helps.
