Tahoe Q4 Sport and Smart Tabs

Hello everyone. I am about to get a 2008 Q4 Sport w/4.3 190hp motor. I want to put smart tabs on it as I hear they are one of the best mods to do. I searched everywhere but could not find pictures of a Q4 installation. Does anyone have any pictures or know if they will work due to the round shape of the rear of the Q4?

There is a photo of a Q4 with smart tab installed on a thread by handman64, but it is the only photo I have been able to find. I have a 2006 Q4 and have been looking to find others who have put them on a Q4, but most of the photos and threads I have found are from Q6 owners. The Q6 transom is shaped differently than the Q4, so it is not helpful. From what I have seen and read so far, the tabs are to be installed farther towards center more than most other boats. I would call nauticus to make sure that what I'm saying is correct. Good luck, I'll be watching this thread to see if someone will give some guidance.

I have smart tabs on my Q4 2007. They cant be installed that far out to the sides like recommended but they still work great. Let me know if you need any help or pics.
