Tahoe Boat Trailer Scraping

I purchased a 2010 Tahoe Q4 and one of the problems that we noticed is with the trailer. When we are parked on flat ground the back of the trailer sits about 2? above the ground. Needless to say we cannot go over any speed bumps or over significant incline changes without damage to the trailer. Anyone else run into this issue or have any potential solutions?

Re: Tahoe Boat Trailer Scraping

I posted a reply to your question over in the trailer section, but have since put more thought into it. I only scrape when backing up into my drive way or similar type of step incline. Have not hit bottom just pulling and never from the middle of the trailer. I know that there is some type of roller that you can attach to the trailer that would lift it up over the bumps. I am going to try it on mine and see if it helps going up the drive way.
Seems like it would work and be less time consuming that the other ideas given to you in the other thread.

Sounds good and thanks for the response. I have a call in with the dealership that I bought it from and have a followup call after the first of the year. I will let you know what they say.

Spoke with Tahoe and they have had similar complaints. Primarily individuals worrying about eventualk corrosion where the trailer is scraping...

Don't know what you are pulling the boat with, maybe need a step down hitch to lower the front of the trailer to make sure trailer sets level with the ground ??
