Has anyone been successful installing a Minn Kota trolling motor on a Tahoe 215. I cannot find a way for the motor to sit on the deck and get clearance to extend the motor into the water. Please help if you can. Thanks in advance. Eric

on my 195 i mounted it just off center. had to order some bushings from iboats to raise mounting plate above the lip on the edge so i could extend it out far enough.

You may have to drill new holes in your mounting plate or get an extension plate made for it so that the motor has enough clearance to unfold over the bow. I mounted a Motorguide on my Q7 and fortunately, they have a long mounting plate but only using three of the four screw holes. Good luck!

I had the same problem but got it to work. It's a Motorguide, fit was very tight.

Good evening. Had a question for you mounting your Motorguide. My Minn Kota came with nuts and bolts, but as the Tahoe has a closed bow, I'm guessing I need to use self tapping screws after drilling pilot holes. What type of fasteners did you use and how did you tap into fiberglass? Thank you for your help if you get this, I know your original post is 3 years old :)
