I have a 1995 Spectum, 14' V hull, side console. It is powered by a 25hp Mariner 2 stroke. I would like to add a tachometer. The engine does not have a charging system as far as I can tell. Are there any tach's that will work when the voltage drops below 12 Volts ? Also, do I need a special wiring harness to install a tach ? Any help would be appreciated.
