Tachometer was working with 140 v-4 and now GT150

Tachometer was working with 140 v-4 and now GT150. Will I be getting a different reading from the tach?:eek: Will there need to be an adjustment made to the tach?:confused: Thanks and I'll have more question later.

jelbass, just make sure the switch on the back of the tach is set to the #6 position and you should be good to go!

Agreed with the previous post...put the tach on #6 and you should be good to go. I personally have a gt150. Love that engine. You'll love the power..but it's a gas and oil hog.

Both engines use a 12 pole alternator, which is the 6 setting on the tach. You should not need to change anything with the new engine.
