Tachometer sertting

2010 Mercury 25 elpt 3 cylinder efi outboard tachometer settings.. can anyone tell me the correct settings for a tach on this motor? i have read many conflicting answers. I have determined, (i think) that it is a 12 pole. I have not seen any tachs that have a 12 pole setting. any help would be appreciated.

12 pole or 6c, whichever your tach has. it should be pretty obvious if you get it wrong, as the reading will be way off.

Thank You Chris. i haven't been able to find one with a 12 pole setting, i will look for one with a 6C setting.
