Tachometer cross fit

Hi I have an 88 3cylinder Evinrude 60hp, I can get a tach from a 2000, 115 hp outboard. It is an OMC tach from 0 to 7,000 rpm. Will it work on my motor?

Yes, it will work just fine.

Thanks bhile, The gentelman with the tach didn't think it would work on anything under 1999.If you're correct I'll look at it tomorrow.

Both motors have a 12 pole (6 pulse) stator so there is no reason why it shouldn't work. The only other connections needed is power, ground and lamp leas if desired.
