Tach setting for 1976, 55HP Johnny

I've got one of those old OMC digital read out tachs that I would like to hook up to my 55. Can anyone tell me the pole setting for the 1976 55hp Johnson with a 6 amp stator?

Most OMC motors use 6P setting (for a 12 pole stator).

With the mtr you have I would say position 5.
