Tach seems to be off

went thru a mess trying to size a new prop, now I feel that the tach is off. Looking for an option to install a digital tach. Has anyone done this? Boat is a rinker 242 with a 5.0 efi Mercruiser 2001

verify your tach with a shop tach. use the shop tach to make sure the motor is getting to WOT for prop testing

Ayuh,..... Agreed,...... Boat tachs should give ya a fair idea of what it's turnin', but my shop tach is what I use for checkin', 'n testin',.....
