I don't have one and was thinking about installing one. One like the Hard line for exp, are they pretty accurate, or work good? Looking for something easy to hook up. 1995 force 40hp. Thanks.

Hardline looks as simple as it gets. It will be accurate, it reads the RPM/Pulse through the spark plug wire. All you do is wrap the wire lead (the only wire that comes from the hardline display) around either sparkplug from your motor. Can be used for testing or affixed for monitoring while in use. Hard to mess up

I found the reading bounced around a lot until the wrapping, and keeping away from ANY other wire was perfect.

Mine still bounced, but usually settled at a reasonable value to assume it was close.
