T-Top for 17-CC

I'm planning to buy a 17-18 ft. CC. I'd like to install a T-Top. There are not many boats of this size with tops. Someone told me there may be a handling problem. Any input would be greatly apprieciated. Thank you. <br />Frank King

framajen,<br /><br />They can act like a sail in some cases.<br /><br />If you are going for a soft top, weight shouldn't be to much of an issue.

On a boat that size I don't think handling would be effected too much if at all... Mostly it would have to do with the overall size of the top and it's weight...<br /><br />The issue I would look at is, on a boat that size would it be in the way if I were fishing....<br />

i've got a t-top on my 18' center console and dont really notice any difference driving only when docking in high winds, tend to pull boat some. hope this helps

T-tops are very popular here and I see many 17-18' center consoles with them. They are relatively small and don't seem to give any difficulties.
