syn oil

hello everyone
i have a 2008 90 hp 2 stroke carbed merc i am running the merc premium oil i want to change to a syn ,is there any probelm mixing the two together or should i drain my tank. thanks for any input.

I've been told to never mix brands or types of oils... that being said it wouldn't hurt to run a good amount of the oil out before refilling with synthetic. No need to throughly clean the tank though.
