After days of searching and not finding much I thought I post it up.
Glastron SX 175 3.0 VP GS Inboard. SX-M Drive 1.97 ratio, Rack and Pinion Steering. Issue: Stiff steering left while under power, right is easy. Also, easy on trailer.
Troubleshooting already performed:
1. Disconnected the steering cable from outdrive arm in engine compartment= outdrive moves easily both ways with one finger.
2. Steering helm rotates like butter both ways when disconnected from steering arm of outdrive in engine compartment. (Cable moves very smooth/easy while not connected to lower unit or helm).
3. Removed R & P black gear box from Helm= Helm turns easy.
4. Greased and lubed everything and re-connected, steers easy while out of water= While under power still hard to steer left but easily to the right.
5. I've trimmed up and down under power at speed with negative results.
Could this be from torque of prop/engine. I'm looking at the tab on lower unit now but that's for pulling to one side.
I'm at a lose right now.
