Re: swivel vs knot

When using mono I regularly use the Trilene knot, also have used it with P-Line Floroclear and it holds well but does not hold with florocarbons.

The four knots I primarilly use.
Trilene knot
Uni-knot
Rapala knot
Blood knot

Again I find myself going back and watching old episodes of Knot Wars especially sense I've started using more superlines.

I'm by no means an expert, but have been taught that using a knot provides more action with any bait you use. I have used the rapala knot, but since was taught a different one by an old gentleman last year that is easier to tie and takes less time. It's probably one that is mentioned above, but my answer is stick with a knot, less to loose if your line breaks.

I appreciate all your input on knots and swivels. I've had good luck with Palomar so I think I'll stay with it. 12 pound clear flour on a 6ft med St Croix powered with a revo s. Good luck
