So have a 2006 Crownline 250CR with a 5.7 Merc 2bbl TKS with Bravo 3 O/D. Boat has been fine with no issues shifting. Ordered a 'new' rebuilt carb and put it on the other day. Today was the first time taking it out for a cruise and it ran great. Only issue was occasionally when shifting out of neutral into forward there was a short hesitation. One time I gave it a little more throttle and got a thunk when it engaged but the other times it just went into gear smoothly after a few seconds.
I may have the idle set a little too high. Dash tach reads just below 800, maybe 700-750. I'm wondering if this ids the issue? I can turn it down a little and it will still idle. Actually right before we untied I bumped it up a little so might have went too far.
Any other ideas?
Carb came from flyingfishcarburetors. Carb seems perfect. Shipping was delayed a few days but other than that it seems great.
Thanks!
