is it possible to swap a 1990 XR4 power head to a 1994 XR6 EFI with no major hassles or modifications.

Swapping a powerhead is always a hassle, especially when you could be fishing. You should have very little trouble with this one.<br /><br />Good luck, and let us know how you make out.

are you saying this new powerhead will bolt up to the XR4 center section. will the cowls and engine cover work.
