1999 DF70 four stroke leaks oil into the silencer cover and into the combustion chambers. Plugs oiled up and oil dripping from the iac valve. I have to do a compression check on the cylinders but if the rings have failed that doesn't explain oil up in the silencer and silencer cover. The breather tube from the valve cover to the silencer cover is oiled up too. That's where I think the oil is coming from. But why/how? Its enough oil that it can be running down the silencer cover and throttle body to the intake manifold and into the chambers that way. Any suggestions.

If lots of oil coming out of breather tube, you have piston blowby, from bad piston, rings, or cylinder walls. Do a leak down test. If the valve cover has been off and RTV used to seal the gasket, it is possible for a oil drain to become plug, then pushes oil thru the breather tube.
