All,
I have around a year 2002 Suzuki 9.9 4-stroke outboard. It has approximately 30 hours on it and has always run flawlessly on my 11' Whaler. I noticed a decreased flow in the rear quarter "pee hole." I both probed the hole and checked the impeller. I now have great flow again from this source. I got to thinking, though, that I remembered water coming out of another larger exhaust hole on the rear of the engine, just above the waterline. I do get exhaust there, but no water. I ran the engine for around an hour recently and got "pee hole" water but nothing else above the waterline. Is this an issue? I just don't recall if that second outlet is exhaust only or not. I'm assuming that if water comes out of the small "pee hole" on the rear quarter of the cowling that I am getting cooling. Can anyone give me a heads-up on this? Is the rest of the cooling water going out the prop? Thanks in advance!
