Hello, I am new here. I have a 2006 Suzuki DF90. I’ve been having an issue with low tell tail pressure, in the water or on the muffs doesn’t matter. I use my flush port on the side of the midsection and pressure is great but as soon as I use the muffs or let it freely pump in water it barely has pressure. I should also note that at 2000 RPM, the pressure is better. I’ve gone through the entire system, everything is clean. New thermostat, new water pump repair kit, I checked the pop it valve, I flushed it and soaked it with salt away and still it has a horrible stream. Every component that has a water line hooked up to it is clear and has flow. I even pulled the lower unit and held a hose on to the pick up tube and flow is great. Now today, I pulled the lower unit again, and hooked up the muffs to it to see what the water was doing and I noticed water coming out of the bushing where the pick up tube goes in but water was also gushing out of the pump housing where the gear shaft goes through it. Now I’m no rocket scientist but I’ve been working on my own toys and vehicles my whole life and it seems like there should be some kind of rubber shaft seal or gasket there to keep water from come out of the housing. Seems as though I’ve found my pressure reducing problem but I’m not 100% sure and there doesn’t seem to be any part number associated with such a seal nor do any parts diagrams show a seal even being there which leads me to believe if there is supposed to be one, it’s part of the whole housing and I would have to order that to fix the issue. My questions are, Am I correct with my diagnosis?, Does anybody know if there is a part number that I can search for?, and lastly, Does anyone know of a good solid parts connection (i.e. website/store/phone number/John from down the street) for Suzuki OEM parts? I am located in Fort Myers, Florida. Thank you in advance for your help. I have posted a pic of the housing for reference. I also have a video showing what I’m talking about.
