Suzuki 225 cracked lower unit _-- HELP

Well I screwed up. I bought a 20 ft Grady White with a 1996 Suzuki 225 EFI and when I got it home noticed that the lower unit is cracked -- just behind the prop. Is this repairable?

Maby, but after the repair, the bearing, seal housing should be remove and cleaned once a year. Corrosion betwreen the gearcase and bearing housing splits the case. This is part of scheduled maintenance.

You might see what your state laws are concerning buyer remorse and try and take it back. If any promises were made in writing such as everything works or is good or water ready you could use that as ammo as well.
