suzuki 140 four stroke cutting out at high rpm

my suzuki 140 is cutting out, down to idle, for a few seconds when i run her 5000 or over, if i keep it around 4000 it will not do it as often or at all. I know this is probably a fuel problem, but what should i start with first?

oil ...... take out oil level switch and give it a good clean, replace the oil flow sensor below the oil reservoir ....
