Sure Mount Rail Mounts for Down Rigger

Hello:

Any opinions on the strength of the Suremount rail system for a Down Rigger? On the Crestliner web site they have a picture, doesn't seem that robust. (PN: 2156256 - SUREMOUNT DOWNRIGGER BRACKET)

Curious of other's opinion and options they have considered

I personally would not trust a down rigger to that contraption but…..I’m chasing much larger game in an application where hanging a ball is a distinct possibility.

I have a couple of these for my downriggers. They come with an adhesive rubber absorber that you apply to the bottom of the mount that rests on my gunnel. Once you tighten the set screws, they don’t move a bit. I’m happy with them.
