supporting a 27 foot cabin cruiser

got to replace the transom,stringers and bulk heads on our 27 foot cabin cruiser. I'm thinking of just blocking and supporting the stern with 4x4 pressure treated lumber and have the frt of the boat still on the trailer yet while the transom and stringers are out of the boat. I don't think having the rollers on the hull would be good for the boat with the stringers removed. I've attached some pics plus one pic on how the wood will contact the hull.

Wow. I was just looking at the carnage in the pics on CSR and it looks like it was good luck that the transom assy needed replaced and you found that rot. Looks like you've got a lot of great advice from both sites. I've got nothing to add really, just good luck!

Love the pics of the LED's off the stern BTW. Looks like Star Trek when you're moving. :cool:
