I have a 1996 Rinker 232 Captiva Cuddy and I'm needing to replace my 2 shocks on my sundeck. They don't hold my deck up at all (manual). Anyone know which ones to go with? I don't understand the 120N or 80N. I just want some good, long lasting, not cheap, not expensive, shocks. Thank you everyone for ur help!!

the 120N is 120 newtons of force. the 80N is 80 newtons of force. your originals lasted 25 years, what do you expect from $20 gas springs?

Why I'm not sure why ur being a smart @$$.....my original shocks held up great!! I'm just asking what shocks I can buy to replace them!! They have no info on them to match them, so maybe someone just bought some great shocks for their boat that they really like and can point me in the same direction....

there are 5 major companies that make gas struts (suspa, stabilus, ace controls, guden, bahnsback) they are all in the $20 a piece range. the chinesium knock-offs are cheaper. they also all have their brand and part numbers printed on them. pull off what you have, read the part number of what you have, buy what you have, install, and go boating. cant get any better direction than that.

if you want, pure stainless ones are in the $100 range. however that requires you to know your pin to pin dimensions and your force needed, or the catalog to compare
