Safety first, all the time.
I slow down if I think there could be a slight chance of doing harm. It depends on the type of boat I'm passing, the amount of POB, wearing PFDs and how close they are. If another boat is following me I try to alert them, especially when they are too close to my stern.
My speed also comes into play knowing the faster I'm going, the less wake height.
Either way, I look to make sure they are okay after my wake has affected them.
I'd hate to see in the news later that it could have been me who caused someone's misfortune.
I witness countless occasions of people how don't give a sit.
