I guess we are lucky at our lake, we have boat specific gas at the some of the marinas. Only problem is it's 40 or 50 cents a gallon extra.
I tried car gas for a tank and went back to the Valvetect gas because I get better top end from it. I only use a tank every couple of weeks and the extra 10 bucks for the gas seems worth it. Plus sometimes Grampa lets me leave the boat at his dock so it's not on the trailer at those times.
I also tow a 32 foot travel trailer. You should have seen me sweating bullets learning to get that thing through gas stations on my cross country trek!

I take up 2 pumps but I fill both at the same time, I have to hug them to get it done. I also wait my turn and if there is a pump open and one is already being used I let the person waiting go ahead of me. I don't rush things that's when I screw up.

try not to take up the inside lane next to the cashier, because someone will come out the door talkin and "boom" right into your boat. spit and blood leave a good stain.
