please explain the difference in the mercruiser power units volvo, gm , omc.
Mercruiser,+ Volvo are 2 Major Marine Drive Manufacturers,.........<br />They Both use GM engines for Power,+ Add all of the ancillary parts to the Basic Chevy Long Blocks,.........<br /><br />But,. Not Always,............<br />There have been attempts by Both manufacturers to Build their Own engines,.......... <br />I Wouldn't Own Either of them Myself..........<br /><br />Mercruiser is,+ Has built BaZillions of Drives,......Of Course,... There's Different Models,.....<br />

Their Rare as Hen's Teeth around here..............<br /><br />OMC Should have Stuck with the Great Outboard motors,............<br />Their Attempt at Outdrives was Marginal At Best,.........<br /><br />Now,.... There is NO OMC,..... No company,.. No Support,... No Nothing,.... Gone.......<br /><br />Don't Buy a boat that has OMC power,..........Period.............
