I have a garmin stryker 4 fish finder /gps and the blasted plastic mount for the back of the boat broke somehow now the transducer would just hang there. Can you epoxy the transducer to the inside of the bottom of an aluminum hull?
WELL im here to tell you in my case the transducer does indeed work shooting through the aluminum hull! I mixed up a batch of fasco 2 part steelflex epoxy and poured it on the bottom of the innerhull close to the back then heated the stuff with a heatgun as it gets rid of airbubbles.I took the boat out today with 2 fishfinders and they both read exactly the same.Zero clutter zero interference!
