I have a 1988 SEA RAY SEVILLE B/R. I have cut out and ground the deck and stringers. I have now made the new stringers from 3/4 luan plywood. It is a low grade brizillian mahogany plywood. I have used it on exterior apps. in the past with good results. It did not rot or seperate. I plan on three layers of overlapping woven tape and a layer of mat. Any problems here?

Re: Stringers

Oh yea, I have pressure treated 1/2 drying to use for the deck, and pressure treated 2 by 4 drying to rebuild the motor support area. The old motor supports are good and i will be sistering to them just to reinforce. It may not be needed but i figure it is preventive maint since I am replacing the motor mounts anyway.

Re: Stringers

I also bought 2# foam. I ordered two 2 gal kits. I am only filling 19" spans so I am thinking this should be enough support. This is my first rodeo with a project like this so i would appreciate advise. I may leave for Iraq in June and want to finish and take a few trips before then, HELP.
