Stringer samples rotten? Picture

OK guys I drilled several samples holes in the stringers and this is how the wood shavings come back, rotten need replacing? the glass over the stringes is still very strong but need to know what I am looking at.

Do they feel wet and mushy??

Put them in a dry piece of paper and either twist it up like your trying to ring water out of it or wack it with a hammer lightly, this should show if there's moisture in it on the paper. I had the same issue, couldn't tell on my stringer on port side. You will have to do another sample though.
