I heard someone talking about how that earthquake that caused the tsunomi may have shifted the earth a little bit off its axis, now Im not sure if that true but if it is I was thinking maybe some of this extreme weather we are having, such as California may be caused by something like this..........or have I seen to many movies latley ie. "Day After Tommarrow" :D

Too many Sci-Fi movies, M&R.<br /><br />The quake did make the earth vibrate a bit, but didn't affect the weather.<br /><br />Speaking of weather, where the deuce is this "global warming" I hear the greenies whining about?

M&R... <br />
<br />Luke 21:25-31<br />25 "And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring;<br />26 "men's hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of heaven will be shaken.<br />27 "Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.<br />28 "Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near."<br />29 Then He spoke to them a parable: "Look at the fig tree, and all the trees.<br />30 "When they are already budding, you see and know for yourselves that summer is now near.<br />31 "So you also, when you see these things happening, know that the kingdom of God is near.<br />(NKJ)<br /><br />

Re: Strange weather ?

Sounds like everyone got their own problems with the weather these days. Along the Muddy Banks, we hit near 70* in the middle of the week....now we are lucky to hit 30* during the day and tomorrow we are expecting 2 to 4 inches of white stuff. Come on Spring!!

Well not to hijack my own thread but I think Kagee might be more on the mark with his post then the global warming/Earth axis theroy.....There are versus in Rev. that also speak of many things that resemble whats going on with polotics and natural disasters.......kinda spooky. Or maybe I have seen too many movies latly......kiddin.......sort of.

Re: Strange weather ?

Actually there are some out there who think global warming will have the reverse effect. I sort of agree with them. The theory is that the gradual warming will cause enough of the ice caps to melt to introduce enough fresh water into the North Atlantic that will stop the Hydrothermal Flow of warm/cold waters in the Ocean. This is what they think caused the Mini-Ice age of the 14th thru part of the 18th century. The 13th century Europe was plessed with warm weather........then the mini ice age hit and...........<br /><br />1. Northern Europe could no longer grow grapes and thus switched to beer. (Why the French are now more known for wine)<br />2. The Vikings die off in Greenland (Which was green and fertile before the mini ice age)<br />3. This is why when George Washington crossed the Potomac on that Christmas Eve.......the river was ravaged with ice.<br /><br />etc etc etc.
