strange shudder in any gear and neutral?

My boat is a v8 with a 290 Volvo out drvive, and today I started getting this strange shudder. It comes and goes and at times is quite strong. Never lasts for more than 3 seconds or so. My. Out drive has less that 20 hours on it, brand new. I really have no idea where to start when it comes to solving this issue

More info will help. Could be u-joints or gimbal brg. Any noise associated with it?

Zero noise, new u joints. I'm assuming The shudder means something is coming out of balance, correct? It has to be something in the out drive. This out drive is almost new with 20 hours. I really hope its the u joints if anything.

wayyyy out of balance......it could be anything from the actual transom to a prop to the drive itself.

im going to ask the mods to move this to the i/o forum, as the guys on there will be able to assist you better.

I have one dollar bill that says it is yer prop...thats where most of those types of hull shaking vibrations originate...run aground lately ?
