Recently the storage building where my boyfriend keeps ALL his tools and a 1956 AreoCraft was broken into. Out of the thousands of dollars Wirth if stuff that was taken, he is DESTROYED over the original anchor light that was taken off the boat. Yes, they left the boat but took the anchor light off of it. How do I find an original anchor light fir a 1957 AreoCraft? Please help a girl out! Thanks!! The picture is not our boat but is identical to ours.

Not an Alumacraft specific light, it's what ever brand the original selling dealer used.

Start by looking for similar styled lights here, @ bottom right of page

Those do have adjustable height.

My MFG had a light like that. You unscrew at the base and the pole pulls up to legal height. Tighten it back down at proper height to travel. When you reach the dock, reverse the process to stow the light.

I know they still made them a few years back. They may still have NOS parts floating around. Ebay is probably your best bet.

That light would look awesome on a vintage boat, not. She is looking for a period correct replacement.

If its truly a concern, replace the intermediate pole in the "vintage" light with a longer one. Dusting off cobwebs from eons ago....I want to say it was a standard 1/2"-3/4" pipe. Could even send it out to be chromed if needed.

Extend the wires to the light and you're done. It's not that difficult or expensive to do folks.

Ever see the DNR out measuring stern lights? It is not an issue.

Honestly, no. Not even OPP in the Great White North. OPP was more interested in whether we had our Canadian fishing license and/or tags or not.

But for those hell bent on saying a light isn't tall enough....just lengthen the darn pole and extend the wiring. Easy peasy.

My 1966 StarCraft has the same anchor light. So my guess is it's a Perko light that is probably still available. Most of their stuff can still be had. But also the anchor light height on that boat will be grandfathered.. this is right up the same alley as seat belts, turn signals and really old cars having single brake lights and carbide lamps for headlights
