Anyone know what material Stingray made thier fuel tanks out of around 1989 or 90? I'm thinking of boats in the 25' to 30' range with large fuel tanks. Plastic? Aluminum? any idea?

Alright, well I've answered my own question so I thought I'd post a follow up anyway. 1989 27' SVF268 has a 210 gallon aluminum fuel tank.

I have a 19 foot, pretty sure its plastic, aluminum is very good and was probably used on the bigger tanks.

Re: stingray fuel tanks?

i have a '99 190 rx and when i looked at the specs online it said it was a 20 gallon tank, but while poking my head in the bilge one day i saw a metal plate with the tank specs that said 37 gals capacity.

i always carry my gas in 6 gallon cans and have never totally filled it up so i do not know how big it is exactly....any thought out there?
