Still no spark-must be wiring it wrong

I'm working on a 68 Evinrude 55 hp motor. When I got this, the wiring was tootally corroded and they'd lost spark witht he motor. I replaced every single wire on the motor. I replaced the amplifier. I replaced the coil. All new stuff. I did this one wire at a time and matched it exactly as it was originally.
I purchased a 6-pin switch with a push to choke button. Sierra Marine 39760.
On the selectric controls, the wires are red, blue, and green. As the wires had been cut originally, with just the inch or so of red, blue, and green showing, I had to assume that those were correct.
I wired up the ignition as I thought it's supposed to be, and I can get the motor to turn over, but I still don't have any spark, so somethings gotta be wrong.
My switch has the following letters: B, I, S, M, M, C. I have the choke wired correctly, so I'm trying to get straight with B, I, S, M, and M. I know what they stand for, but I've still got to be doing sometihng wrong, so I traced some wires for help.
my wires and where they go:
White-starter solenoid
Black-grounds to engine
Brown or tan-goes into the engine right next to top cylinder
Gray-goes directly to amplifier
Green-goes to diode.
Red with gray stripe-goes to vacuum switch
solid Red-this is spliced-one half goes to the amplifier and the other half goes into the hole along with the blue and green wire. The hole is next to the bottom cylinder, assumably the 3 of them are for the selectric controls in the lower unit.

The engine turns, but something I'm doing here is wrong. I should have spark by now with new wiring, new coil and amplifier, and a new plug wire from the coil. Please, PLEASE help me. :)

Tashadaddy just posted a link on OMC wiring to ignition switch it was today or yesterday at the latest. Check the FAQ if you can't find it.

Good luck

Re: Still no spark-must be wiring it wrong

Guys, I'm sorry but I must be a tad on the stupid side or something. I've looked at all of the diagrams. I've seen the OMC charts. I have the manual for the motor and even a book on Evinrude motors. I think the problem I'm running into is not knowing my electrical components well and the wiring colors were changed before I got the motor. I keep getting Black and yellow for the kill switch, but there isn't a black and yellow wire, and I didn't replace one either. I know it's going to take a little longer, but if someone can help me with this, I'm probably going to need some help going through these wires one at a time. If it'll help to identify things, I can take a picture of the motor. Just tell me what electical component goes to what spot on the ignition and I'll put it there. As things stand now, I have the wires where I thought they should go. Hell, maybe they're right on the money and the problem is elsewhere, but I'm uncertain of my wiring job. In the meantime, I can turn the switch and push the button and it chokes. If I turn it over, I have power to the starter, as you'd expect. I have the black wire, which runs from the engine block, going to the low M. I don't have the tan wire hooked up to anything. The red, blue, and the small green wire are hooked to the throttle controls. I'm so confused. The more I think about it, the more confused I get. I'm going to bed and I guess we'll come back to it in the morning.
